Actually, I know where. The joint patch correct this, but it's a Q&D hack. I fix this asap.

Ok, thanks. I can reproduce the bug.

The translation, in german, of "Close window" gives "Fenster schließen".

The translation of the previous string, from Cork to utf-8 is also correct, actually.

I don't know yet where is the problem, but, actually, 'ÿ' is the "latin1" interpretation of a Cork encoded string. This mean that, somewhere in TeXmacs, a conversion Cork -> Latin1 has been forgotten (i.e. done implicitly, since these two charsets are quite close each other).

Sorry, was unclear.

The Sz ligature works fine when typing in the text, but is broken in everywhere the menus and dialogs. Says "TeXmacs schieyen" with two dots on the y instead of "TeXmacs schließen" for instance.
