I like it. I pushed your changeset here (http://hg.savannah.gnu.org/hgweb/octave/rev/5d08a2ec7edb). Closing report.

This section also includes the fill and surface functions. Reading through the plotting sections, it seems a little out of place, stuck between "Multiple Plot Windows" and "Manipulation of Plot Windows".

Since these functions are about creating graphics objects directly, would it make more sense to merge it into "@node Graphics Objects" as a new subsubsection? How about the attached changeset?

We should probably just re-title this node. In fact, the current title is wrong as the 'axis' function is not documented here. It is the 'axes' function which is. Can you think of a suitable name? "Other Graphic Objects" seems a little bit opaque.

The section "Use of axis, line, and patch Functions" is inaccessible in the Info manual, running from the current development build. Building and viewing with GNU texinfo 5.1.

For example, attempting to go to the node directly from the top-level menu shows the error:

And attempting to go to the next node from "Multiple Plot Windows" shows the error:

This is the only node in the entire manual with a comma in the title, and I think that is the problem. In fact, the GNU texinfo manual describes that this will not work. My reading of the manual [1] is that you can escape the comma to force the Texinfo processor to handle it, but that the Info reader will still not parse it correctly.
