try this on the command line:

> mysql -u phpgroupware -p phpgroupware

when prompted input the password you set in you header.inc.php for the phpgw db user

If you can't connect then you have not setup your db properly - please check this doc http://free-source.com/files/phpgw-howto.html

Let us know how you go.

Cheers

Apache error log reports:
PHP Warning: Access denied for user: 'phpgw@127.0.0.1' (Using password: YES) in c:\foxserv\www\phpgroupware\phpgwapi\inc\class.db_mysql.inc.php on line 90

That line in that file reads:
$this->Link_ID=mysql_pconnect($Host, $User, $Password);
I gather somehow the config file is not passing the appropiate parameters.
