Thank you, Adam. Loading the Developer package (gnustep-devel) did the trick on my missinggcc.exe. I'll send a msg to Webroot about the gencmn.exe. I have successfully compiled my first program. Hooty-Hoo!

As far as I'm concerned, you may close this issue.

I scanned the entire package on an independent computer using an up-to-date Microsoft Forefront scanner which found no threats.

Thank you, Adam. Could you double check that executable? I'll go ahead and load gnustep-devel and try again. I'll remove the gencmn.exe from the webroot quarantine and send a note to them saying that it's a false positive.

You need to install gnustep-devel to get GCC and the rest of the developer tools. I think it's unlikely that there is a virus in the packages though. I build them on a machine that is essentially cut off from the internet. It's possible the virus checker is just flagging the program because of it's name being associated with a virus or something.

Hello all,

I've installed gnustep-system and gnustep-core. While installing, my AV program (Webroot) quarantined gencmn.exe. I went ahead and let the rest of it install. The MINGW32 window comes up, but when I run "gcc gnustep-config --objc-flags` ...", it gives me:

sh: gcc: command not found

and when I search my C drive for gcc., all it can find is gcc.vim.

Any ideas where to start?

Thank you,

Steve
