I can't reproduce this bug on a Linux system.

If there is a problem it may be only on the Windows build of Octave or only on the reporter's system.

For testing, I used the attached myui.m file and the following commands:

(file #26360)

uigetfile works fine when called in the command prompt. However, it does not when called in a script.
But after being called in the command, the script works aswell.
Maybe not initialized?
