Yes, Octave warns that "the chose shortcut is already used for [another] action", then asks me to choose.

When you are entering Ctrl+Shift+0 "manually", does the shortcut manager complain about an already existing shortcut of this form (for the "Show Command Window"). Does the action "Show Command Window" still has this shortcut or have you changed it?

Ctrl+Shift+0 still doesn't work for me, but, e.g., Ctrl+Shift+9 does work. Weird...

I've opened bug #50555 as suggested.

1. The shortcut Ctrl+Shift+0 for the editor window works for me, i.e. it puts the keyboard input to the edited file in the editor.

2. There is in fact an issue entering shortcuts including the Shift modifier when not only letters, where Shift only changes lower and uppercase. Could you please file a new bug report for this?

Redefining default keybinding Ctrl+4 to Ctrl+Shift+0 (normally assigned to Show/hide Command Window) does not put keyboard input to the edited file.

In fact, I'm unable to enter this shortcut by directly typing it in the Enter New Shortcut dialog box; I had to manually type Ctrl+Shift+0.

When clicking on the tab to select between the command window and the editor, the keyboard focus stays on the active window, not the one whose tab was selected.

For example, I expect when I click on the editor tab that keyboard focus is now on the script being edited, but is instead still going to the command window.

Same is true when editing a file and clicking the tab for the command window, keyboard input is still going to the editor.

Also related, the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+0 does set keyboard focus correctly on the command window. However, Ctrl+4 only displays the editor window, keyboard input is not going to the edited file.
