Nope, I broke it in an altogether different way. Fixed in rev 5563.

I think that this fix broke the shrinking factor mechanism on my computer.
When I change the shrinking factor in the menu View, it does nothing. However, if I change it in Edit->Preferences->View and restart TeXmacs, then its works.
If you want, I can file a different bug report.

Glad to hear it's solved.

(The message is harmless, but thanks.)

The patch works perfectly for me. Thank you.

FYI, I have a new warning message at opening of TeXmacs:
Object::connect: No such signal QDockWidget::closed()

(Hopefully) fixed on SVN rev 5556.

Mea culpa: I had tried to disable double buffering since we already do it to avoid triple buffering. But it only made things worse (and I somehow managed to convince myself they were better).

I was wrong. It's related to the QT port. The bug is not reproduced using the X11 version.

I experience the same problem under Debian testing.

I tested under Ubuntu 11.10 (the preceding stable version), using the same sources, on thee same hardware, and the bug didn't happened.

I will give infos about each config.

AFAIK, it is not related to the QT port.

More detail about what I said earlier : TeXmacs' biggest trouble seems to be to draw lines.
Create a tabular with equations with indices. Click on an index. The cells of the tabular, the current and the current selection box drawn themselves, but really slow.

Texmacs was compiled from the sources of the latest svn version. Joris told me to affect this bug to Massimiliano, but I don't have the rights to change the "Assigned to" field.

Was texmacs installed from Ubuntu's repositories or did you compile it from the sources?

Since I upgraded to ubuntu 12.04, texmacs has really slowed down. When I click inside a formula, I can see the prompt and the rectangular box drawing themselves.
I tried with option -graphicssytem raster but it changed nothing.
