It took me a while for it to dawn on me, that you were referring to your Arabic Test Page, where I immediately saw the ring combinations that were wrong. In bold there were still others, which I fixed too.

It was just a matter of adding mark anchors. I think in previous releases the mark was applied always in the same place horizonally; the mark lookup affords precise placement -- provided proper anchors are applied.

As to 'ccmp', that is a much more elaborate technology. I use it when a character needs to be broken down, and/or characters have to be re-arranged before being assembled. To simply place a mark on top of another, a positioning lookup is appropriate.

Hi Emmanuel,

I don't seem to be seeing the same thing you are.
The U+6B0 gaf with ring is based on U+06AB kaf with ring, and they both have the ring in the proper place.

You mention contextual forms. Is there some combination of characters that should produce a letter with a ring? Please provide an example!

I noticed the positional 'kaf' didn't have an anchor for the ring. Is this what you mean?

Thanks!

This was probably introduced in rev 2203. Contrary to other arabic characters with ring like the similar U+06B0 gaf with ring, the ring is appear at the bottom left instead of the correct place, here under the top right stroke. The problem appears for all contextual forms.

Is there something which prevent the ccmp from working?
