I need to implement short options with non-[:alnum:] characters, e.g.,

option "dollar-opt"          $ "Test option char $" optional
option "percent-opt"         % "Test option char %" optional
option "and-opt"             & "Test option char &" optional
option "star-opt"            * "Test option char *" optional

Please patch src/scanner.ll to enable punctuation characters (see attached diff). However, there is still a problem with these optargs:

option "#-opt"               \# "Test option char #" optional # escaping does not work
option "quote-opt"           ' "Test option char '" optional # does not work
option "brace-open-opt"      ( "Test option char (" optional # does not work
option "brace-open-opt"      ) "Test option char )" optional # does not work
option "comma-opt"           , "Test option char ," optional # does not work
option "backslash-opt"       \\ "Test option char \" optional # escaping does not work
option "eq-opt"              = "Test option char =" optional # does not work
