This is na inherent limitation of gnuplot. It is precisely for reasons like this that we are moving to OpenGL plotting. Use fltk instead of gnuplot.

[X Y] = meshgrid(0:100,0:100);
for i = 1:1000
Z = X.Yi/1000;
image(Z);
pause(0.01)
end

When this code is run, the figure flickers.(Just run it and the problem will be obvious.)

I found some other bug reports on flickering of graphs, but they were with plot(). plot() will work just fine with similar code, but image() doesn't.

Is this a problem with Octave of gnuplot, or is there a way to fix this?(AKA I'm doing it wrong.)

Thanks.
