it is not subplot specific, this also reproduces the problem:

graphics_toolkit fltk;
plot(0.05*[0 1])
t1=title("T1", "units", "normalized");
t2=title("T2");

I think there is some bug with looseinset in sync_positions and units, I will try to find a fix.

hmmm ... I reverted my archive back to 3.6.0. The test fails there, but passes for the 3.6.0 I downloaded from sourceforge.

Maybe this isn't a regression ?

I'm wrong about the origin of this bug.

The bug is present in 3.6.1 but not in 3.6.0. The changeset 7a49519913e3 is not present in the stable (3-6-x) branch.

I'll start bisecting to isolate the regression.

I verified that this bug is not present in 3.6.0.

I haven't looked at the code, but after experimented and looked at the values for the text object's position and extent, my guess is that the text objects units are assumed to be "data".

I suspect a regression due to the changeset below.

The following code

removes the first and incorrectly positions the second plot in the lower right corner.
