Agreed, much nicer than my hasty fix!

Ported to lua and zi branches and closed the bug.

Fixed. My patch (unlike the patch on the zi branch) calls term_redisplay only when resyncing is required; this seems to be enough?

`539a22e separate redrawing cursor from redrawing screen' means that during incremental searches, the cursor position is no longer updated correctly.

to demonstrate:

This bug is present in Zile 2.4.2 :(
