Thank you very much - my memory was at fault, I only fixed figured bass. Now I have fixed both and put in the cloning of the actual chords.
In git now.

The bug seems to persist in the current version from git. I just tested it as described in the original post, after compiling and installing the newest version obtained with "git pull" (the about dialog states version 0.9.3).

This has been fixed in more recent releases. If you cannot upgrade then avoid copying notes with chord symbols or figured bass as this is a vicious bug that will corrupt memory when you delete the original and copy.
I confess that the fix, at present, is just not to copy these bits at all. So this could stay open pending a fix for that. It has affected me a couple of times when I have entered some music in the wrong bars and tried to move it.

There is a strange bug when you copy and paste notes with chord symbols. When you change the chord symbol of the pasted note, the one of the original changes also. For example, create a new score, insert a whole note c and set the chord symbol to c (shortcut c or Notes/Rests > Markings > Chord symbols > Edit chord symbols). Select the note, copy it and paste it. Now edit the chord symbol of the pasted (second) note to something else, say d. The chord symbol of the first note will change, too. Note that this bug does not occur when you save the file and reopen it before changing the second chord symbol.
