The issue continues in version 1.0.7.14. Is there any hope that it will be fixed? This bug really makes TeXmacs impossible to use for typing Turkish texts (and keeps me from using it). I really would appreciate it very much if someone fixed this.

For a quick try, you could switch to the Turkish layout by

setxkbmap -layout tr

and then the English lowercase i should produce the Turkish lowercase dotless i.

By the way, the LaTeX code for this character is \i.

This character does appear in imported latex documents (always with a space following it, and this a separate bug) and can be copied, pasted alright, but can't be input through the keyboard.

I would at least try to fix it myself if I knew where to begin.

Hello,

In the 1.0.7.12 Qt version of texmacs, one cannot type in the lowercase 'dotless i' charater (Unicode 0131) when using the Turkish keyboard layouts. The upper case (Unicode 0130) works fine

This is the first Qt version I've used so far, but this problem also occurred in the previous X11 versions as well.

I can use the default and "alt" variants of the Turkish keyboard without any issues in the other X applications. For those who wish to test with an English keyboard: In the default variant the English "i" generates a dotless i, and in the "alt" variant you should enter AltGr+i.

Other non-English Turkish characters (such as ç ş ğ ö ü) work well, this dotless i is the only thing that keeps me from using Texmacs for Turkish texts.
