I do not see anything new on dev branch. Did this go
to stable branch?

I checked in a few more changesets for the build system. I think the linking problems should be fixed now. After updating, you will probably need to run autogen.sh and configure again before running make. Can you try that and report whether it works for you now?

I cannot figure out why libranlib.la is related in compile process.

The build on Friday in the last week was successful.
Some (A) change(s) since Friday may cause this error.

Any suggestions?
