You can close this thread, I already reported about the other bugs I had in a new thread and they are solved too.

Please indicate the category concerned - all basic markings (staccato, turn, Dal Segno ...) are being replaced by Nils right now.

I've found other markings, which aren't recognised by Lilypond, shall I report them here or shall I open a new thread?

The option helped, I could install denemo and the dynamics are now shown properly! Thanks!

In fact we include smf in the sources, but (unfortunately) you need to do the configure step with an option, --with-included-smf or something like that (see configure help or the mailing list where it has been mentioned several times)

Yes, I think, it is the display… it's the field in denemo, which you only see, if you have the checkmark on "score view" in the menu "view". The typeset form I haven't seen yet.

It could be, that the dynamics are entered, but not shown: If I make different dynamics on different notes and then undo one step by another, the cursor jumps from one note to other, indicating, where something was undone.

I'm not able to test because I have trouble with installing the "smf"-package (it is required) - I simply can't find it in Yast.

Unfortunately what you describe is still not clear.
By "the score where the dynamics do not appear" you mean, (I am guessing) the display in Denemo on your monitor of the music you entered. I understand you to say that when the score is displayed in typeset form they do appear.

For me, the dynamics do appear in both the display and the typesetting, I think they may not for you because of some problem with a component called gdk-pixbuf-loader or some such.

Testing: you can test if you are able to download and build the latest sources (see instructions on denemo.org on how to do this), otherwise can someone else who has this problem please report.

I meant the score where the dynamics do not appear.
How can I test? Or didn't you appealed to me?

Now in git, please test and report.

> do not appear but only when I type them as "custom"

By this I guess you are not seeing them in the display - this sounds like the svg loader bug where there is nothing in that Articulations Palette popup, and a bunch of messages about failure to load svgs at startup. (I have never seen this on my Debian installations, but Nils reports it on his ArchLinux ones).
The good news is that all that stuff is redundant now, we have a mechanism for putting anythng out of the LilyPond fonts onto the screen. As a first step I'll display the text, as the custom ones do, at least.
Can you confirm that it is the display that you meant?

The Directives → Dynamics do not behave as I would wish, the dynamics listed there do not appear but only when I type them as "custom". At least Lilypond recognizes them all and displays them correctly in the final notes.

Well, I just played around with Directives->Dynamics and you can already do sffff with it, you choose More from the first menu and then custom from the second. The display isn't as pretty as it could be, and if you wanted a lot of them you might want a single keyboard operated command (though you can copy and paste the dynamic once you have created one).
Shall I delete the old commands?

Hmm, these are the built-in dynamics (source code is dynamic.c), they urgently need replacing. Well, looking through the menus, I see that there is a replacement, go to

Directives->Dynamics

If that command does not behave as you would wish, please raise a bug for it,
otherwise this bug could be closed once we have deleted the command you found. So speak up if the built-in dynamics cannot simply be deleted without loss.
With regard to sffff if the problem is that LilyPond does not support it, then you could raise the bug there; I suspect you can generate any text in that bold italic font by using suitable markup, so we could create a command for sffff in Denemo even if it does not have a special syntax in LilyPond.

Hello,

I have 2 problems: Firstly, I can't undo dynamic markings, which I set via "notes/rests → markings → dynamics → insert dynamics". Neither the undo-button works (though it undoes notes), nor can I overwrite the dynamic with an other entry.
The second problem is, that Lilypond ignores this dynamics I set. I typed "sffff", "sforzando forte fortissimo" and it didn't appear in the notes generated by Lilypond. Btw, this dynamic marking exists, i haven't invented it. ;-)

Any help?
