There seems to be no LOSSLESS bitmap in this testcase so shouldn't be related to bug #34625. Anyway this bug is fixed.

Here even color in the rectangle seem the same. It was related to bug #34625 now fixed?

Actually, it is enough, only the attached testcase is plain wrong. Behavior is the same as with the adobe player now, except for the color shown in the rectangle, which is unrelated.

9bf5b8fb720ac7525e73b45155659fb031b15a59 has lastIndexOf fixed, but isn't enough yet...

Ok, I took a look, it's lastIndexOf failing (returns 1 number more than the expected, when encountering a 2-byte char)

Francois suggested in a private mail that the movie may be using actionscript to compute the XML url. My tests were with relative path resolution instead.

Francois: maybe you can send a portion of the SWF file, a portion of a dump taken by Ming's listswf or something along those lines (if you can't provide the full SWF).

I've also tried with XML.load, and still didn't see a problem.

François: could you attach the smallest possible SWF showing the problem ? I've tried verifying the bug with current development branch (commit e1d8d3956 in master) w/out success.

For a SWF animation with xml linked, if in the full path of the file SWF there are UTF character, so it try to load a wrong xml file.

For example, I have a file in my home :

/home/toto/Téléchargement/testfile.swf
/home/toto/Téléchargement/testfile.xml

gnash -vv /home/toto/Téléchargement/testfile.swf
...
Could not open file /home/toto/Téléchargement/stfile.s.xml
...

So I have done an other test :

/home/toto/Tést/testfile.swf
/home/toto/Tést/testfile.xml

gnash -vv /home/toto/Tést/testfile.swf
...
Could not open file /home/toto/Tést/estfile..xml
...

So there is a delay of 2 character when 2 UTF8 special char (é)
And there is a delay of 1 character when 1 UTF8 special char (é)

So maybe you use a string function without UTF8 compliancy

PS: With filename for image in the xml there is no problem !!!

PS2: Sorry for my English I'm French

François
