Currently the dot progress mode defaults to showing 50k per line, which is pitiful. Files that small don't really need a progress meter, and the reams of output on normal sized files make the logs intolerable. The proper default should be 'mega' mode.

Also, the 'giga' mode shows 32 lines of output for a 1 GB file, which is also too many; that's like 140 lines for a DVD image. let's drop that down to just 8 per GB.

Also, there's no mode that gives reasonable output for terabyte files. Granted that those are fairly rare for most people, we might as well throw one in there. It can take 8 lines per terabyte as well, for consistency.

The original goal of the patch was the 'tera' mode, since I didn't know about the options that let you set the bytes per dot and dots per line and so on (they're undocumented). However, once I got into the code I went ahead and made the other changes as well. Besides, I think that the more detailed options, while more flexible, require too much figuring in general to be really useful.
