This is a duplicate of 33180. Bug 33180 has a more detailed description of the problem, so I'm closing this one.

If someone objects, please reopen this one.

This is the whole offscreen plotting with OpenGL problem. I have investigated it a few times, and I'm still not clear if it's possible to solve it or not. I think it ultimately depends on the OpenGL implementation. The way to do it is with framebuffer objects, but they may not work if your OpenGL implementation depends on X (e.g. as libmesa does).

Re-titling report to properly capture the bug in question.

no crashs anymore. However, printing the figure produces no output.

I have just pushed a small fix to the default branch, which solves the problem on linux (64bit) and MinGW (32bit). Can you please check again.

If you still see a crash, please provide a backtrace (if possible).

I can confirm this (3.4.0). Crashes with or without the "export LIBGL_ALWAYS_INDIRECT=y"

Confirmed on a development tip. Also note that there are at least two other bugs (#31931, #33180) which are linked to FLTK and the "visible" property.

The following sequence crashes my octave:

Note that setting

which resolved bug 31882, does not help in this instance.
