Looks like commit bd79ebf3188ad0dc9f45290112f603f33af86f88 fixes this.

This appears to be a dash issue. The test passes when /bin/sh is pointing at bash instead of dash.

Using cvs libgc keeps threads.test and fluids.test from hanging, but now I'm seeing this FAIL output from popen.test. Not reported as an error though. Single core system.
