I'm going to assume this is fixed for other people too.

Commit 74198b7a44c87000bfe6b9e2b0f30a2d9e95594f by bastiaan basically
uses window.document.cookie when NPN_GetValueForURL fails.

It seems that this bug is triggered when Firefox encounters a cookie that's associated with a "Domain", but not a "Host".

Third party cookies need to be enabled as well. I think this may need a little more digging into based on other privacy settings, but if you open everything wide open, then cookies work.

Testing with Firefox 3.6.13 on Fedora 13 & 14 (without blocking cookies), I noticed that although the version of NPAPI is recent enough to support NPN_GetValueForURL(), it fails to actually return any values when called in plugin.cpp like this:

NPN_GetValueForURL(_instance, NPNURLVCookie, url.c_str(), &cookie, &length);

This prevents YouTube and other sites from working, as without the cookie or cookies blocked, you get the dreaded "an error occurred" message. I haven't tried Debian derived distros, that's the next test.
