Thu 18 Nov 2010 02:15:02 PM UTC, original submission:

when I use gnu mc (mc-4.6.1a-35.el5.x86_64) inside gnu screen window (4.00.03 (FAU) 23-Oct-06) using putty (v0.6) from windows OS mc panels and menu are displayed incorrectly (see attached screen-shot): selection box is displayed 1 or 2 lines upper than it should, there are black lines appearing - basically i have to use refress (CTRL+L) several times to get some usable view

i have tried several screen configuration combination, putty configuration - nothing helped (I also tried screen -R xterm as putty opens xterm console)

when I start mc NOT inside screen window it works normally

any ideas? suggestions what .screenrc settings I should use?

Thank you,
