For future reference, mouse actions require that multiplot be unset, and multiplot must be set while multiple axes are being rendered.

My understanding is that a gnuplot based figure window will flicker (and may actually grow vertically in size) if multiplot is toggled on and off, which is necessary if more than one axes exists.

Soon a changeset will be introduced to fix gnuplot related problems with the legend. This will introduce a hidden axes which will require multiplot to be toggled on/off when a legend is present.

None of this should have an impact on mouse actions, but I thought it useful to make note of the conflict between mouse actions and flicking animations.

This is confirmed on 3.2.4.

Happily, this issue has already been fixed in the development code. To access the fix you will need to download and build from source. Instructions for downloading code are at http://www.gnu.org/software/octave/download.html. Alternatively you can wait for the 3.4 release.

Mouse actions work for me when running the developer's sources.

I don't have a copy of 3.2.4 to try.

For reference, I suspect this is due to multiplot remaining set after the plot has completed.

Subplots disable mouse zooming for the wxt and the original gnuplot backend:

In contrast this is possible when plotting without subplots.
