Tested in QT version svn rev. ~4900 in ubuntu 12.04 no noticeable lag between the cursor and the red cross.

Seems to be fixed. Please reopen if not fixed for you.

still a big lag - maybe 1/10th seconds, but that can be half a screen width

Maybe this is again related to the graphicsraster bug?

When using the graphics mode under Ubuntu 10.10,
the red cross only follows the mouse pointer with
a big delay.
