The bug still occurs on rare occasion, but it is possible to quit the insertion mode by double clicking.

I commented out three lines in graphics-utils.scm
concerning the magnification in release 3522.
Please take a look; it consists a dirty fix for the bug.

In fact, it is probably better to remove all the non trivial
magnification handling which is local to objects and only
keep the global handle for magnifications. This will both
simplify the code and make it more correct.

One remaining bug is that, while moving text with
a non trivial global magnification, the text is temporarily
displayed using a standard magnification of 1.

It might be that this bug is actually related to bug #31462.
After more investigation, it seems only to occur if we first
zoom/unzoom, before trying to edit the polyline.
Similarly as in the case of text-at, we obtain Scheme errors
of the kind below, which prevent us from committing
any modifications.

/Users/vdhoeven/texmacs/src/TeXmacs/progs/graphics/graphics-utils.scm:425:16: In procedure / in expression (/ amagn (s2f #)):
/Users/vdhoeven/texmacs/src/TeXmacs/progs/graphics/graphics-utils.scm:425:16: Wrong type argument in position 1: (times "0.421875065917979" (value "magnification"))

I have not investigated up to which extent this bug is dependent
on the version of Guile. I got it under MacOS, with Guile 1.8.7.

Tue 26 Oct 2010 11:17:13 AM UTC, original submission:

- Draw a polyline with several edges
- Try to move one of the handles by dragging with the mouse

Problem: you may drag, but when releasing in order to specify
the end-point, you remain in a mode where the polyline
continues being edited. One can only insert new points,
and not quit the editing mode.
