The bug disappears if you install the ibus-qt4 package.

Seems to be a problem with ibus and Qt. If you disable ibus demon then the problem disappears. Qt is not configured by default to use ibus on Ubuntu (at least on 10.04 LTS). Maybe ibus is not the right input method to use with Qt.

When typing something and then quit TeXmacs without saving,
in the dialogue whether I really want to quit,
I cannot select yes/no using the up/down arrow keys.
When continuing editing and quiting later,
sometimes the arrow keys work...
