It works for me for the 20101015 and 20101014 snapshots (I didn't try older ones). It looks like yours was somehow corrupted at download. FWIW, the size should be 14184251 bytes.

If necessary, there is another way to get up to date sources described there :

when i want to extract a snapshot under
http://gnubg.org/media/sources/
i am always getting the following error message:

tar: This does not look like a tar archive
tar: Skipping to next header
tar: Exiting with failure status due to previous errors

no matter if i use the archive manager or a terminal with the "tar -xvwzf *.tar.gz" command.
