These are diagnostics messages and stderr is the right place for them

I'm running Ubuntu 10.10 and if I'm executing update-grub the following output appears:

Generating grub.cfg ...
Found linux image: /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.35-22-generic
Found initrd image: /boot/initrd.img-2.6.35-22-generic
Found linux image: /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.32-25-generic
Found initrd image: /boot/initrd.img-2.6.32-25-generic
Found memtest86+ image: /boot/memtest86+.bin
done

But if I'm using update-grub 2> /dev/null the output is away. I think the output should be marked as stdout.
