I'm closing this report because octave-mode.el and related files have been removed from Octave and are now part of GNU Emacs. Will you please report this problem to the Emacs maintainers?

hello,
I noticed that fltk based figure window does not close in octave-mode of emacs. When I use a normal terminal(rxvt, for example), it works well.

The gnuplot backend works well despite of emacs.
