I'm surprised that anything has changed, since the lexer rewrite that John mentions has not been checked in. But if it works, it works.

I tested it with 0.7.6-g5a6b75 version. Imported successed with psppire. So we can close bug. Thanks!

You are right. We need to implement the ENCODING subcommand.

Currently, there are some problems when processing multi-byte characters in syntax. The lexer is currently being rewritten, and hopefully this will make a solution to this problem easier.

Maybe it is needed to add option to choose a charset of importing data?

If I try import data with my language letters (ą, č, ę, ė, į, š, ų, ū) or with more complex symbols („“←↓→), they becomes "??" (question marks).

You can try to import textual data from attachment
