This bug used to be fixed for the gnuplot backend only. I am reopening it because in the current default branch this bug seems to be present for both gnuplot and fltk again.

Since it appears this problem no longer exists in the developers sources, I'm closing the ticket.

I tried the attached trig3.m script. My Octave is built using the developers sources from Aug 27. I've attached the pdf I obtained. The result looks correct, so I'm leaving the status as "Works for me".

Does that mean it doesn't work for you? If not, how about reverting the status?

With the development sources, I tried

demo ("plotyy", 1)
print plotyy.pdf

... and I got the correct result. Thus, it appears that this bug has been fixed.

I set up three subplots arranged vertically, which look OK on the X display window, but when I print to pdf or ps, they are squished together so the legend of one graph overlaps the top of the following graph.

This worked fine in 3.0.5 on ubuntu 9.10, the graphs occupied the full page and didn't overlap. It's been broken since I upgraded to ubuntu 10.04
