The moves are indeed equal. You can check it easily by yourself (there are only 4 possible "rolls" : 11, 21, big doublet and big non-doublet). You'll see that two rounds later the 16 combinations will lead to equivalent positions whether you started with 2/1 or 1/off.

2/1 is unintuitive but not wrong.

Hi folks,

I've attached a screenshot of this position:

The gnubg player plays 4/off 2/1. Surely 4/off 1/off is the correct play in that situation? The analysis window shows both at 77.54%.
