Thanks for the report. This will be fixed in the next
release, by using gnulib's more modern ansi-c++.m4 instead of
gettext-runtime/m4/ansi-c++.m4.

Although having used "--host=...", the build system keeps on using the native "g++", while it guesses properly the rest of toolchain (gcc, ld, ...).

I tried on a x86_64-linux building for a mipsel-linux.

I have to build passing CXX=mipsel-unknown-linux-g++ to the configure script.
