The issue was really a problem in NSMenu, which assumed that menus could be off screen only on the right and bottom edges of the screen. Should be fixed in svn now.

When the mouse is on top, the first time the menu even appears to scroll down instead of up before stopping.

When the number of elements in a pup-upbutton is long enough, the user is supposed to put the mouse at the top or the bottom of the screen snd the list should scroll.

Scrolling down works smoothly, scrolling up does not at at all and the list makes jerky movements always resetting to down.

I verified this on windwos and X, so it is not a windows bug as I originally supposed.
