I already fixed this, your snapshot must be older ( I just checked it is working with current git). The fix was on 17th April:

Hello,

When I assign a chord symbol to a rest and save the file, these chord symbols disappear upon reopening. On one file I even get a freeze when trying to "save file", but haven't figured out how to reproduce this error on a new file.

While editing everything is just fine - the lilypond script seems correct and you can see the chord symbols in the pdf preview. The problem seems to lie in the file saving function.

I am using 0.8.17 snapshot version.
