You mean, you added that to libtool.m4?

> you re-run libtool to regen the configure files

In order to regenerate configure files, the "libtool" command
is useless. You do that with "autoconf". Or, in the particular
case of libiconv, through "make -f Makefile.devel". This
command also handles the 'preload' directory.

This issue would have been so much quicker to resolve if, from
the beginning, you had said which commands you executed, and
which results you obtained. Rather than letting me guess
what you did.

If you re-run libtool to regen the configure files then the preload directory isn't processed as it's missing ltmain.sh.

So we added a max_cmd_len section for FreeMiNT but libiconv doesn't have that fix in it's configure files. So I'm needing to re-run libtool to regenerate. But the "preload" directory can't be processed without ltmain.sh.

Does that make sense ?

For a proper bug report, you should state:
- What commands did you execute?
- On which platform?
- What were the indications that these commands failed?

There is no point in discussing packaging issues if they don't
lead to failures.

Meant to say ltmain.sh is missing.

Can't seem to find the ltmain file in the preload directory.

Shouldn't that exist ?
