That did it!
Thank you for all your hard work.

Yes, you are putting your password in the proper place. The error is most probably mine: I've overlooked that cram_md5 function attempts to recompute challenge length, which it should not do. Please, try the attached patch.

I tried the change but didn't have any luck. I have attached the verbose output. Am I putting the password in the proper place (.mtstailor in the url section)?

Thanks. I've fixed it in the repository (see commit 88c2fc77). A snapshot with that fix is available for download from ftp://download.gnu.org.ua/pub/alpha/mailutils/mailutils-2.1.90-20100210.tar.gz (or .bz2, at your option). Please, give it a try.

Sure, I am using version 2.1 of MailUtils. The send output and my .mtstailor file are attached.
Thanks for your time.

Hello,

What version of Mailutils do you use? Can you attach a full output from send --verbose, please?

I've found that the MU-MH utility send does not send passwords to SMTP mail servers if the server uses a non-secure authorization. It works fine on secure TLS authorizations like gmail, but it didn't work on non-secure emails from inbox.com. When using the --verbose mode, you get the error "550 relay denied. server requires authentication"
