The initial legwork has been done, from the mailing list of "Fri, 5 Dec 2008". Other implementations use -g for 2's based 1GB block size, but coreutils apparently hasn't yet. |

I'm not sure about this as I think -h suffices and is more general.
Note BSD df has -g, but on solaris df -g does something different.
Also neither BSD nor solaris have -g as an option for du.
