Apparently this problem only appears when pasting into or just behind an empty measure.

It seems that if you copy from an over-full measure and then paste, you're apt to end up with each note appearing in its own measure--at least for the notes that are beyond what should have been the end of the over-full measure. Here's how to see this:
Enter quarter notes: e e f g g f e d c
Now go back to the first measure and enter a few extra notes after the f, say 3 additional f's. This is just to get an over-full measure.
Now select the last few notes (say, f f g) in that measure, copy, and paste at the end of the staff where you have plenty of room. Each note after the first will generate its own new measure.
If instead you had copied the first few notes in the over-full bar, you'd see no problem.
This affects Rebar as it is currently implemented, resulting in its not really doing is job properly in situations similar to the above.
This is version 0.8.10 on windows xp.
