Of course, this would be because I was attempting to fix 27552 and updated the wrong bug. I will look at this one next :) I'll go update that bug.

I built rv4420 and tested it. It's still not fixed completely, I think:

When I hit the return key, the cursor still moves out of the viewport. The latter does scroll, but only after hitting return as many times as there are soft-wrapped lines visible. Then, the view jumps down to accomodate for the cursor position again. Between the first return and that last one, the viewport doesn't move at all.

Sigh. It's clear this code is not solid yet, since I yet again had to go back and rethink how I was calculating where to start the next line. I'm guessing for as much as I just think I fixed this I have introduced 5 new issues. Still, if you have the time and can give code after r4420 a try, please let me know.

Version: 2.1.11

Softwrapping enabled, document with a couple of soft-wrapped lines.

At the very end of the document, using the return key a couple of times until the cursor would move out of the current view. It does exactly that: the cursor moved out of the screen, when the screen should move to follow it (which it didn't). Cursor up and down, however, move the screen correctly.
