There is one nice feature that the package from a "well known proprietary competitor has":
1. Open any image file on your system - a desktop capture will do nicely.
2. Select and cut (into clipboard) a piece of the image.
3. Open New image
4. Enter dimensions that are obviously smaller than the cut in #2
5. Paste <- it would be desirable, if at this point there was a prompt something along the lines of:
"The image you are trying to paste is bigger than the available image area. Would you like to expand the image area to fit? [Yes] [No]"
