Concerning the second point:
(when GnuBG is offering to resign for a lower stake than should be accepted given the cube value, the tutor doesn’t keep you from accepting.)

I was misled into thinking that the 1, 2, 3 written on the resignation offer were the number of points conceded, but now that I see that it means simple, gammon or backgammon loss, I see that this was a wrong error report. Sorry!

It sounded like you had two issues. The first one is fixed in cvs. The comment b) referred to your second paragraph. (One problem per rapport is always better)

Well the error is not on gnubg's side (it correctly drops) but on his opponent's, who wrongly doubles, but the tutor stays mute.
The example is in the attached files: Screenshot + sgf file.
I was playing in tutor mode. Shouldn't the tutor should have issued a warning that my cube decision was wrong ?

a) typo kind of thing (fixed)
b) gnubg shouldn't be resigning wrongly, could you please give an example.

Version GNU Backgammon 0.90-mingw 20090421
Here is an example where a huge doubling error is overseen by the tutor (settings: cube decisions + checker play; warning level = doubtful). See sgf and image file.

In the same vein, admittedly a very minor point for such a great piece of software, let me also mention that when GnuBG is offering to resign for a lower stake than should be accepted given the cube value, the tutor doesn’t keep you from accepting. I think it should.
