The keybindings screen lists keys bound with "bind", not those with "bindkey". Use "bind q kill" instead.

after redefining:

escape ^Kk

the kill command is not in the list of keybindings (help screen).
dito, if `kill' is redefined first:

bindkey ^Kq kill
escape ^Kk

observed with Screen version 4.00.03 (FAU) 23-Oct-06 under MacOSX
