So I tried again, after editing a document, and all was well. Closed and reopened a fresh doc, and got a seg fault again. Are there any dev's left on the team?

Just for the record, I just duplicated this bug. Kind of annoying. I'll see if there's another ticket for this with more activity on it.

I would like to report the same bug.

Platform is:
Ubuntu 8.10 - 2.6.27-11-generic - i686
Gnome 2.24.1

I think it is a rather critical bug if one of the ten buttons on the front panel of your application generates a segmentation fault. The severity level should be higher than normal..

gpaint 0.3.3
xubuntu 8.10
Linux 2.6.27-11-generic #1 SMP Thu Jan 29 19:28:32 UTC 2009 x86_64 GNU/Linux

I am starting gpaint and then pressing "fill" button. Program immediately terminates. In shell i see "Segmentation fault".
Same situation when i am starting gpaint, opening any file and the pressing "fill" button".
I can tell you additional information, but i don't know what exactly do you need.

I know it is not so critical bug, but i'm school teacher. using linux for education, and children don't seem too happy when something crashes.
