works for me, images cannot be dragged out of the views my two test applications (PRICE, LaternaMagica).
I did not verify if it is the same setting that Apple uses to obtain this.

I made images view non-editable by default as this is the behaviour on Apple.
Please try whether this solves the problem for you.

On GNUstep an NSImageView is a dragging source as soon as it is editable. By default objects of that class are editable. This results in NSImageView being a dragging source by default.

Now which of the two assumptions we make is different from the behaviour on Apple?

on gnustep, while it is nto the case on Mac, imageviews are automatically a drag source. In price, click on the image will start dragging the whole image.
