Otherwise you'll have to be a bit more detailed.

The mouse scroll-button spewing escape characters is generally an indication of your terminal being left in an improper state (some application requesting mouse sequences, but quitting before it disables them, or something).

I'd like it if using the mouse wheel when sshed to a remote host running screen would scroll up and down the terminal and add a scroll-bar to the right side. Currently it just prints a whole bunch of escape characters across the bottom. If I'm running an app which has mouse support (like less or mc), then screen should pass those mouse events to the app instead.
