Hi Rafal,
Some of those bugs are solved in the bzr development branch. I have installed a Ubuntu 64bits in a new partition to finally give 64bit support to the program and tune up all ubuntu-specific compilation and dependency issues.
In a few days/weeks a new release will be up and hopefully will solve those problems.
Thanks for the report,
JP

This bug seems to annoy many users, not only me.
The point is that it is impossible to install Psychosynth on Ubuntu.
To begin with, it cannot be done by adding a repository. Synaptic finds packages 'psychosynth' and 'psychosynth-doc' but I cannot install 'psychosynth' because it requires libceguiogrerenderer-1.4.6 (on Ubuntu only available package is libceguiogrerenderer-1.4.9, and libogremain-1.4.6 (witch is also only in version 1.4.9). Some error message appears, psychosynth is not installed (even adding original Devian repositories didn't help).
Second, I cannot install it from source, I get error message 'package libsoundtouch is required' or somewhat like this. Well, I've just instaled it and it works perfectly, so it's strange the configure script doesn't find it...
When I forced successful configuration by deleting some lines from ./configure, I still cannot compile it! make returns some crazy errors associated with cstring library, I found it is because I have newer gcc version...
Finally, when I manually downloaded the .deb package and installed it forcing dpkg to ignore any dependency error, and installed both missing packages in 1.4.9 version, psynth3d returns error it didn't find library libCEGUIOGReRenderer-1.4.6... :(
I think the problem is that since you release last Psychosynth version, some packages (libceguiogrerenderer, libogremain and gcc) had some updates, and now Psychosynth doesn't work property with them.
Hope you'll answer as soon as possible, as I'm looking forward having fun with your application.
Best wishes,
Rafal Cieslak
