I indeed have a special setting : I use manual dice by default.

If I set some rng in Options/Dice, gnubg doesn't crash any more.

I still have the same problem with the current code. It is szSeed that is null :

#0 0x080b8173 in SetRNG (prng=0x8163b9c, rngctx=0x85486f4,
rngNew=RNG_MERSENNE, szSeed=0x0) at set.c:142
142 if( prng == rngNew && !szSeed ) {

Christian: I get this by loading an existing match from a sgf file, clicking on some move, then on the End game button.
This was with the intent of repeating it a few times and looking at how the game would play out, but considering your comment on bug #25113, it isn't expected to work anyway. The mere fact that the program crashes is still a problem, though.

Works fine for me, Philippe can you try again with the latest code.

(looking at the code, it's unlikely that a null pointer can now get to that line of code).

I cannot reproduce this problem, and it doesn't really make sense to me. Can you provide exact steps, and tell me if you are using special settings.

When using the "end game" button from an previous point in a game, gnubg asks for confirmation, then crashes :

(gdb) where
#0 0x080b7ff3 in SetRNG (prng=0x816395c, rngctx=0x85484b4,
rngNew=RNG_MERSENNE, szSeed=0x0) at set.c:142
#1 0x0809bcf4 in CommandEndGame (sz=0x29086e18 "") at play.c:3434
#2 0x08075aa6 in HandleCommand (sz=0x29086e18 "", ac=0x8165c20)
at gnubg.c:1319
#3 0x08075bb7 in HandleCommand (sz=0x29086e14 "game", ac=0x8168d78)
at gnubg.c:1323
#4 0x080764b6 in ProcessInput (sz=0x28eeac90 "end game") at gnubg.c:3803
#5 0x080765fa in UserCommand (szCommand=0x8143bba "end game") at gnubg.c:3857
#6 0x288e83ef in g_cclosure_marshal_VOID__VOID ()
from /usr/local/lib/libgobject-2.0.so.0
#7 0x288db129 in g_closure_invoke () from /usr/local/lib/libgobject-2.0.so.0
#8 0x288ef873 in g_signal_handler_disconnect ()
from /usr/local/lib/libgobject-2.0.so.0
etc...

To reproduce : play a few moves then go back (or load an existing match and go to any move) and use the "end game" button.
