This is fixed in svn ... a bug in the keepalive mechanism (added to allow daemons on mswindows to close themselves down when no longer in use) was dropping the connection to the distributed notification server, and the fswatcher was shutting itsself down when it detected the dropped connection.

happens here too on some installations. It didn't happen when I did the fswatcher changes before the last release, so something definitively changed, but for now I am clueless.

Not sure what is going on here, but every minute or so fswatcher dies... it's like clock work, happens everytime in set intervals. This does not happen with the version of GNUstep I built the Slackware packages against.

I'm using the latest SVN (r27232) of everything on Slackware 12.1. I noticed it a few weeks ago though, just didn't have time to look into it.

I tried attaching gdb to it, but I don't know how to use gdb, so, as expected it didn't work as I intended (fswatcher just simply stopped working). If anything more is needed from me, just let me know, I have this system specifically for testing.
