This should be fixed in nano 2.1.6 (release 2008.10.03) and later. Please try a newer version of nano and let me know if the issue persists.

This error happen when you try to cut the last (void) line of a file.
To test this, open Nano, and make Ctrl+K.
Nano is killed and you get the segmentation fault error.

Nano : 2.1.5 on Gentoo.

This is my Use config for Nano :
- debug
- justify
- minimal
+ ncurses
+ nls
- slang
+ spell
+ unicode
